Passive Modalities

Ultrasound therapy is one of the passive modalities utilized in our clinic. This therapy uses sound waves to help increase the circulation to an area, which helps to decrease joint and muscle pain.

 

Electric Muscle Stimulation is another passive modality commonly used in our clinic. Commonly used in conjunction with heat or ice, electric stimulation improves circulation, reduces muscular pain, reduces inflammation, and enhances soft tissue healing.
