Anthon Chiropractic Care opened its doors in 1993, and has
been providing chiropractic care, massage therapy, and
rehabilitation to the community since. We have been voted
“Best Chiropractor in Hammond” by the readers of the Daily
Star for the past 8 years!
Chiropractic care does not focus on the symptoms a patient
presents with, but rather focuses on the cause of the problem.
By working to restore the normal function of the body,

Dr. George Anthon, Jr.
Dr. George Anthon, Jr. is a doctor of Chiropractic practicing
in Hammond for 22 years. He is the owner of Anthon
Chiropractic Care, past president of Hammond Jaycees, Hammond
Kiwanis, and past president of the Tangi Chapter of Coastal
Conservation Association.
He has been selected as
Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the State of Louisiana and
Small Business Person of the Year by SLU’s College of
Business. |
He currently serves on the boards of Chiropractic Association
of Louisiana, Hammond Housing Authority, and of First Christian Church where he is also an
Elder.
Dr. Anthon has coached in
the Hammond soccer, baseball, and softball leagues for several
years, most recently as the head coach for Hammond Hurricanes,
10-12 year old girls All-Star Softball team, as well as the
head coach for Holy Ghost Girls Softball Team.
He enjoys hunting, fishing, reading, racquetball, and watching
sci-fi. He is married to Gina Lottinger Anthon, a music
teacher at SLU and Holy Ghost Catholic School. They have four
children, Stephen (14), Laura (11), David & Jacob (10).

Dr. Lauren Peterson
Dr. Peterson is one of the newest additions to the staff at
Anthon Chiropractic Care.
Dr. Lauren began her
education at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she
earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology.
Following graduation, Dr.
Peterson moved to Houston, Texas to attend Texas Chiropractic
College, where she graduated as the valedictorian of her class
in August 2010. |
Dr. Peterson is certified
in the COX technique, as well as Graston Technique and Kinesiotaping,
which has enabled her to spend time working with athletes
ranging from the weekend warrior to collegiate and
professional level athletes.
